Hashboard is the computing board of a specialized miner that contains ASIC chips responsible for performing the main computations of the mining algorithm.

In many ASIC miner designs, multiple hashboards are connected to a single control board and power system. Each board is responsible for part of the device's total computational performance.

The Role of a Hashboard

A hashboard contains computing chips and the components required for their operation. The board receives power and control signals, performs computations, and sends the results to the control system.

Failure of one hashboard usually results in a reduction of the miner's overall hashrate. Therefore, when diagnosing ASIC equipment, the condition of each computing board and its associated components is checked separately.
