A deposit address is a wallet address provided by a crypto exchange for receiving a particular crypto asset.

The address is associated with a blockchain network or token standard. An address format alone does not guarantee that every asset can safely be sent through every network. Token deposits may require selecting the correct supported network, and some assets also require a memo or tag.

After the transfer is broadcast, the exchange monitors the blockchain for the relevant transaction and credits the user's internal balance after its deposit conditions are satisfied.

The asset, network, and address should be verified before sending. Transfers through unsupported networks may require manual recovery or may become unrecoverable.
